Something keeps repeating.

The same fight. The same relationship patterns. The same feeling of being stuck, even when you’re trying to do things differently.

Or maybe you just know something isn’t working, but you haven’t quite found the words for it yet.

None of it means something is wrong with you. There’s usually a reason we get stuck in the patterns we do. That’s where we start, with a partner or on your own.

Idaly Terrazas, therapist and founder of Sahale Counseling, smiling at the camera

Hi, I’m Idaly.

I’m so glad you’re here. I became a therapist because I wanted to understand what keeps people feeling stuck and what can actually help.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, burnout, difficult past experiences, relationship struggles, and life transitions.

Therapy is a place to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and find a different way forward.

More about me and how I work

Beginning is the hardest part, so we keep it small.

  1. A free 15-minute call

Share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and see if we might be a good fit.

  2. Your first session

You don’t have to have everything figured out. We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you want to be different.

  3. A steady rhythm

Most clients start with weekly sessions. As things change, we can adjust the frequency together.

What colleagues say

Client stories stay private here, always. These words come from clinicians who supervise my work and practice alongside me.

Common questions

If yours isn’t here, bring it to the free call. Asking costs nothing.

More questions, answered
Does online therapy actually work?

Yes. Online therapy can be an effective way to do meaningful work, and many clients appreciate being able to meet from a space where they feel comfortable without adding a commute to their day.

At the same time, telehealth isn’t the right fit for everyone. If we find that meeting in person would better support your needs, I’m happy to help connect you with an in-person provider who may be a better fit.

What happens in the free consultation?

The consultation is not intended to be a therapy session. Instead, it’s a brief opportunity for you to share what has brought you to counseling, get a sense of whether we might be a good fit, and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process or working together.

I’ll also ask a few questions to better understand what you’re looking for and whether I’m able to support your needs. If I feel that your needs fall outside my scope of practice or that another provider may be a better fit, I’ll let you know and, when possible, help point you toward appropriate resources.

How long does therapy take?

There’s no set timeline for therapy because everyone comes in with different needs and goals. Some people may notice meaningful changes within a few months, while working through deeper patterns or experiences may take more time. We’ll check in along the way to make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and aligned with what you need. You’re always part of the conversation about what comes next.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

No. I currently offer secure online therapy to adults located in Washington State.

Can I use my insurance?

I’m an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your plan and benefits.
